Saturday, June 22 – 8:00 a.m.

Join Jeff and Cheryl Fredson for a trip to the Blue Mountains to look for wildflowers (and butterflies and birds). We will meet at the Harper Joy Theater parking lot and car pool.

Jeff and Cheryl have an encyclopedic knowledge of the wildflowers in the Blue Mountains and will take us to locations they have staked out. In the past they have taken us to several locations along Summit Road, Target Meadows Campground, Bald Mountain pullout on the road to Jubilee Lake and other locations. We could easily see a total of 80 to 100 species of wildflowers. Last year’s highlights included Phantom and Lady Slipper Orchids.

If you love wildflowers and mountain-fresh air, this is a field trip you do not want to miss. This will be an all-day trip and we will be doing a bit of walking. Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Bring a lunch and a camp chair if you have one.

You do not have to be a member of Blue Mountain Audubon Society to attend, the field trip is free and no pre-registration is required (just show up). If you have questions, e-mail Cheryl at
