May 21st Fieldtrip-Coppei Creek

May Field Trip

On May 21st, join Jim and Sue Parrish for a trip to South Fork Coppei Creek to find migrating
songbirds. This stretch of road is about 5 miles from Dixie, and follows the riparian area of
the creek for a couple miles. We hope to find many birds in the midst of migration and
breeding. On previous trips we’ve found warblers, catbirds, chats, waxwings, kingbirds, and
hummers. It’s a beautiful spot and an easy stroll.

We’ll meet at Whitman’s Harper Joy parking lot at 8:00 and return by noon.
