The Colorado Avian Research and Rehabilitation Institute (CARRI) http://www.carriep.org/ was established to study the ecology of birds within the Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park, with a special emphasis on hawks and owls. The organization also rehabilitates injured and abandoned wild birds by nurturing and caring for their needs, with the intent on releasing the birds back into the wild.
Scott Rashid has been studying Northern Pygmy Owls since 1998, specifically in the area on the northside of the Rocky Mountain National Park.  In this 90-min. virtual program, Scott will talk about his study of small mountain owls including the Northern Pygmy Owl.  Scott Rashid is the publisher and illustrator of several books, including NORTHERN GOSHAWK THE GRAY GHOST and THE GREAT HORNED OWL AN IN-DEPTH STUDY.
